Much of my work explores the structures and flowing forms of traditional pattern especially from Islamic art and architecture.
I find this abstract world full of meaning and a language our internal states resonate with.
I’m often compelled to introduce movement into an otherwise static pattern, which can lead to a reflection on what is revealed when opposites meet.
I find it fascinating that this language of pattern can converse with a part of us that is so often hard to reach and sometimes left undiscovered.
